Transformation Assurance

Programme boards are often the last to know when a delivery is in trouble. This is not because project teams are hiding information. It is because the information that reaches the board is structured to reassure, not to reveal.

Programme management tells you whether the transformation is being delivered to plan. Transformation assurance tells you whether the transformation is actually going to produce the outcomes it was designed to deliver. These are different questions, they require different skills, and confusing them is one of the most expensive mistakes a leadership team can make.
